Cold and Flu Season

a box of Kleenex and an emoji with a face mask, a tissue and germs all around.
This time of year, it feels like the germs are everywhere!

It’s that time of year again!  Cold and flu season is the worst  – there are germs everywhere and we’re all inside at a zillion different gatherings for the next six weeks.  First, the kids bring the germs home from school and we take them with us to the family Thanksgiving, then Friendsgiving, then the town Christmas Tree lighting and on and on it goes…it’s a miracle any of us stay healthy.

But

The one thing we can do to cut down on germs is wash those hands.  Wash them thoroughly. Wash them often.

Routine

Since our kids love routines, how about adding in handwashing as soon as they drop their backpacks after school?  Just build it right into their afternoon.  That, added to their habits of washing their hands after playing outside and before meals, will mean your kiddos have super-clean hands and less chance of getting sick.

And who are we kidding, less chance of getting YOU sick…can I get an AMEN?!

How was that for a timely tip on this Tuesday?
