Christmas Book

We have a pile of Christmas books that we keep with our decorations. We pull them out each year and it is like visiting with old friends. We cuddle up and read these favorites every December. Now that Mikey is older, he looks through them on his own for the most part, but this is such a sweet memory.

Michael can read. This began with letter identification and phonics. He also liked learning sight words when he was younger (we used flashcards). It seems like his comprehension is very basic so he still reads books that are for younger kids, but if he gets enjoyment out of it, I’m all for it.
