Chex Mix

Years ago, when Mikey had to go on a gluten-free diet, we had to say goodbye to Cheddar Chex Mix (the only flavor he really goes for). It was a tough one for him to give up. He loves it!
Once we realized he was okay to have some gluten, Chex Mix was one of the first things we brought back. Michael eats it more than once a week and he has a special method. He eats it shape by shape. The triangle crackers are first on the list. Then he moves on from there. I think his least favorites are the pretzels and the breadsticks because he saves them for last.

If your child likes Chex mix, but can’t have gluten, you can make your own. Just use the any variety of Chex other than wheat (check the box to make sure it says gluten free) and then look up recipes for homemade Chex mix. They’re ridiculously easy and you can customize them to your child’s tastes.
