Carvel

We are huge Carvel ice cream fans! Mikey loves to go there and eat his ice cream at the little tables out front. Recently, they hired a young man who seems to have autism (he did not share this with me, but after all my years in the autism community, sometimes I get a sense).

This sweet young man remembers Michael and greets him each time we walk into the store. On Mother’s Day, my husband went in without Michael to pick out some treats for the special day. He recognized Dave and knew which ice cream was for Michael. He put in some extra vanilla and rainbow sprinkles, especially for Mikey.
I don’t need any encouragement to eat ice cream. I’d happily do it every day, but this fine young man has made me a customer for life! Mikey has a lot of vanilla with rainbow sprinkles in his future!
