Bug Spray

stylized photo of arm with bug bites, 3 cartoon bug stickers added for effect

Here in Connecticut, we have ticks which carry Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. As annoying as mosquito bites are, we have a more important reason to protect against insects. So, although I usually try to go as natural as possible, I don’t normally use natural insect repellants. I use the regular OFF! Then, when we get inside after a fun evening out, I get the kids in a bath or shower to wash off the chemicals.

journal entry, handwritten on lined paper in pencil. “i got a million bug bites this weekend."

Even with the real stuff, we still sometimes end up bug-bitten, but it’s better than nothing. Check with your pediatrician to see what they recommend.
