Buddy the Elf

Elf on the Shelf should only become a Christmas tradition in your house if you have the bandwidth to add this to your To Do List.

If you read yesterday’s entry, you know we’re fans of the movie Elf.  So, it may come as no surprise that our Elf on the Shelf is named Buddy.

This year we were pretty creative with Buddy.  Some years, we had more fun with it than others. Will made the first set-up with the sleigh made out of an egg carton, pulled by Rudolph. He may have also helped with the scrabble board.  That was a fun one!

Mikey's journal entry from December 18. "our elf Buddy is crazy" buddy in a homemade sleigh pulled by our Rudolph toy reindeer, sitting in front of a scrabble board with Christmas words all filled in, hanging from the chandelier and making a snow angel with flour on the kitchen counter.
Pro Tip: if you do the snow angel, make the shape with your finger and then lay the elf down so you don’t have to clean the flour off of him.

Note:

Only do this if it doesn’t cause you stress.  It’s supposed to be fun after all.
