Birthday Party Locations

Mikey had a great weekend filled with food, fun and friends!  And although pizza has completely stolen Mikey’s heart, you have probably read enough from me about pizza and tickle fights…let’s talk about this birthday party!

The Recreation Center in the town next to us has a big indoor pool with a splash area and a giant twisty slide. They also have party rooms that can be rented out for birthday parties.  Mikey had a blast at his friend’s party!

We almost always hosted our kid’s birthday parties at home, but the beauty of skipping the entire clean-up process is not lost on me.

Renting a Space

Especially if your child has a winter birthday, you may want to consider renting a local space. Rec. Centers have rooms available at inexpensive rates. Even with added access to the pool, these were reasonably priced birthday parties. Sometimes they are even available for rent if you are not a resident of the town.

Higher End

Michael and Will also attended birthday parties that were probably on the more expensive end of the spectrum. These included bowling parties, mini golf, gymnastics, laser tag and even movie theater bashes.

Anytime But Winter

Local parks are an amazing free (or very inexpensive) option! We had one right nearby so Will did one of his birthday parties there.  The kids swam in the pond with lifeguard supervision, and we had s’more’s instead of cake.  The party favors were frog catching nets. When the kids arrived, I labeled each one with their last name so they could use them during the party and then take them home at the end. I think this might have been one of Will’s favorite parties.
