Back to Basics

Relax and reconnect instead of detaching and isolating.

As the world gets more and more manic, I think we, the parents, need to do everything in our power to keep our kids’ world as calm as possible.  We have so many beautiful options to infuse calm into their lives. Unstructured play time is a big one.  You know I would love if a lot of this time could be spent outside in nature.

I saw this post the other day and I think it should be a To Do List for parents and kids.

a Facebook post from 'outsider' "Instead of finding a new form of social media, we should all go back to bonfires, tailgate parties, night fishing, porch sitting and cruising with the radio playing."
Amen, indeed! Count me in!

Get back to the basics.  They’re classics for a reason and they truly rejuvenate you in a way Netflix just can’t. Get through your manic Monday with thoughts of your next relaxing moment.
