Another Band Concert

To the casual reader, it may seem like there are a lot of these band concerts, but for a family with a child with autism, routine is king. We loved situations in which we already knew the set-up, the seating arrangement, and the plan. I’ve linked a post below about the specifics of our plan.

We knew Mikey could be successful and support Will. Did that mean he definitely would? Nope! But as you know, we love a good contingency plan, and we always try to have one ready to go.
Having repeat performances season after season meant that I got a free pass on planning ahead for these concerts. I just needed to pack my bag of Mikey distractions and make sure Will’s khakis were ironed.
Bring on the jazz, middle school band! The Mauro family is ready!
