Al Fresco Dining

Mikey smiling with some chicken tender on his fork, eating outside at our picnic table. Title picnic with painted leaves.

Small changes to the routine can break the monotony. You know I’m all for outside time whenever the opportunity presents itself so eating dinner out in the backyard was a fun change in the summer.

journal entry: we at dinner outside. photo of mikey eating his plate of chicken tenders and baby carrots and photo of mikey smiling.

When we break the routine for fun things, we reinforce to our routine-loving kiddos that a little bit of change is okay. Same chicken tenders and baby carrots, just with a warm breeze and a forest view.

The photo evidence will show that Mikey was happy with the evening. Wink.
