A Nice Fire

our fireplace and hearth, with a fire going and a cloud with the words, 'make yourself cozy'

A fire in the fireplace was a staple of my childhood.  It makes a home feel both festive and cozy at the same time.

journal entry. photo of hearth with a fire going. "We made a fire."

The little things we do to calm our souls and lighten our hearts can make all the difference in elevating our daily life.

Although a fire creates a soothing environment, I can’t make one every day.

One thing I do every day is to take one minute to look up at the sky.  Day or night, I find the literal act of looking up makes me feel like things in life are looking up as well.
