A Calm Mind

Mikey laying in bed, pillows behind his head looking very calm.
Our Wednesday Wisdom comes to us from one of our favorite Stoic Philosophers: Seneca.

Our kids bear the burdens of their disabilities.  Mikey struggles to communicate, which must be incredibly frustrating for him. Your child may have different challenges, but there is no doubt that their journey is harder than the average bear.

stylized calm photo of half of Mikey's face, calm and content, wearing headphones. Quote printed to his right. 'To bear trials with a calm mind robs misfortune of its strength and burden. - Seneca'
Keeping your cool helps you handle challenges while keeping your wits about you.

The more we can model calm and teach them to face their trials with a calm mind, the lighter their burdens will be.
