A Book Adventure

Safari. Animals and people from Scotland, Brazil, Kenya, etc...
Mikey's book takes him around the world to meet the people and animals that live in different places.

I have always loved bookstores: anything from a Borders (remember those?) to a library book sale set up at the local community center. So, every once and a while I steer us towards a bookstore to browse and enjoy just being in the presence of books.  Lucky for me, my boys loved bookstores too and we always had fun looking around and picking out a few fun ones to take home.

Mikey's journal entry from March 27 2014. "I went to the bookstore. I got a book about people and animals from around the world." photos of the bookstore and mikey holding his book, stickers of animals and people from countries around the world.
Go on an adventure, in the pages of a book.

The best thing about books is that they can take you anywhere.  After his puzzle earlier in the week, Mikey’s thoughts were on the animals of the world and this book broadened the topic to include the people who live in each area as well. It was like Epcot Center in a book…with stickers!! Big win for Mikey!

During the years when the kids are young, it can feel like your whole life is devoted to the things that they like to do.  Do yourself a favor and introduce them to the things that make your heart happy…you might get lucky and find something you all enjoy.
