60’s Day

Mikey posing with his teacher and his tie-dye cake on 60's day at school. flowers and peace signs everywhere.
The flower child enjoying his special day.

Sixties Day was also Michael’s early birthday celebration at school. His birthday falls over the summer break, so the teacher assigned him a day to celebrate with his friends at school.

M's journal entry for June 6 2014. 7 photos of his day at school. 60's day, everyone dressed as hippies or wearing tie-dye shirts. Mikey brought a tie-dye cake to celebrate his summer birthday.
Good vibes all around for Mikey’s birthday celebration at school.

We sent in the cake and a bag of hippie temporary tattoos. I went to school that day to deliver the cake and help the kids apply their temporary tattoos (if they wanted). I also took some photos of the class so Mikey would be able to remember his fun hippie birthday at school.

I think school birthdays are a chance to do something a little bit special. Even if your child will not have a party outside of school, they still get the memory of everyone singing to them and celebrating with friends.

Wishing you all peace, love and celebrations galore!
